GORGES OF THE DURATÓN RIVER
The Gorges of the Duratón Natural Park is a must-see place for its great beauty. In it the Duratón river runs encased between stone walls, more than 100 meters high at some points, creating a spectacular landscape. Gorges can be traveled by foot, mountain bike or canoe. This last option is the best option to admire this impressive canyon up close. During the visit, you can see historic buildings of great beauty, such as the Romanesque Ermita de San Frutos or the ruins of the convent of Nuestra Señora de la Hoz. It is a sight to see the river fly over the vultures and golden eagles that nest on the walls of this gorge.
